Modalities within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Acupuncture: Auricular/Ear, Ashi (West: aka dry needling), w/E-stim or Ion Pumping Cords. Moxa: Needle top, direct, Cigar, Tiger Thermie. Cupping: Glass Fire, Wet, Cup Sliding, Plastic Vacuum. Bleeding: (w/lancets). Hand work: Shiatsu, Tui Na, Japanese Hara. Other: Gua Sha, Seven Star, Metal/ Herbal/ Magnetic Tacks or Stickers (leave on), Shonishen (for kids or needle sensitive adults). Basic health & Nutrition advice: + Tai Chi & Qi Gong. (To name just a small fraction of modalities)...
At FEA we utilize acupuncture & a vast amount of Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques to address disharmony at both the physical and emotional levels, while you're practitioner acts as a stable grounding force, capable of holding a safe space. This assists you to help your body to generate healing with each treatment.
We support all your health concerns without judgement and with full compassion, regardless where you find yourself at any given moment. Each session is entirely focused on you for the full treatment duration (we do not treat more than one person at a time). We have found there is something healing about just having another person completely present with you, while your acupuncture treatment takes effect, even for an hour at a time.
TCM principles requires your medical practitioner to be skilled in using differential diagnosis to access the acute and/or underlying condition that ails you. This knowledge allows your acupuncturist to treat you from the root of the problem as a unique individual, as opposed to continuously treating mere symptoms that don't really seem to clear up entirely. By treating the underlying condition that is creating the symptoms, relief can be in your future.
Here at FEA, we do not charge different / extra rates to preform additional modalities during a treatment.
All techniques outside of needles are included in each session!
